Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Vito to gets Renault 1.6 dCi

According to the latest rumours, Renault and Mercedes-Benz have agreed that the diesel 1.6 dCi Energy a 130HP (codename R9M) to equip the next generation of Mercedes C-Class and Vito.

The engine that we meet in the Megane, Scenic and Nissan Qashqai and will be offered as the entry-level diesel engine in C-Class (C 200 CDI). The engine deliver 130 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and 320 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm and is manufactured at the factory of Renault Cleon where they work 3,484 employees. However, their number will increase by 2015, due to the increased demand, which is expected to have just come out on the market the new C-Class.
